Cuteness Overload!

So cute we can barely stand it!

In our studio on Saturday we had 10 day old Nigerian Dwarf goats.   How adorable!

Piper needs a home

Here at the Black Dog Barnyard we're committed to helping animals in need and are very active in rescue work, volunteering with several rescue groups and opening our home to dogs in need of foster care.

We currently have 2 foster dogs living with us, Piper is one of them.  This loving 10 year old gal has a heart of gold and is a real gem.  Read her PetFinder Bio here, and spread the word to help us find her a loving home!

A sad farewell to our Neptune

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." A.A.Milne
Neptune
December 31, 2003 - February 28, 2014

With heavy hearts, on February 28, 2014 we said good-bye to our amazing boy Neptune after a brief illness with cancer.

He was one in a million and will be missed tremendously.  Ten years was simply not long enough with this incredible boy.

Neptune, passing wisdom onto baby Cole

Welcome Coleridge!

On February 4th we welcomed our new addition, Coleridge (Jalynn's Ancient Mariner).
We have high hopes for this pup, and with any luck he will take us on our first adventure into the show ring. Should prove to be interesting!

He has quickly settled into life at the Black Dog Barnyard and spent his first few weeks here getting acquainted with everyone and learning the routines of the farm.  Big brother Neptune showed Cole the ropes and helped lay a solid foundation for Cole to mature into a gentle guardian to all things great and small.
